Interpretation of testing for the detection and quantitation of inhibitor to coagulation factor XI
Factor XI inhibitors typically arise in patients with congenital XI deficiency (hemophilia C) or after infusion of fresh frozen plasma or factor XI concentrates. Acquired factor XI inhibitors rarely occur spontaneously.
Only orderable as a reflex. For more information see 11INE / Factor XI Inhibitor Evaluation, Plasma.
An interpretive report will be provided.
When no significant abnormalities are detected, a simple descriptive interpretation is provided. When abnormal results are detected, a detailed interpretation is given, including an overview of the results and of their significance, a correlation to available clinical information, and elements of differential diagnosis.
No significant cautionary statements
